WELCOME TO BARON

NORTH DAKOTA

In 1965, a young girl disappeared in Partial Veil Forest. Three days later she walked out of the woods with no memory of what happened or where she had been. Thirty-three years later her best friend goes missing without a trace, and Josie Ward must finally confront the truth of her disappearance and conquer her fear of the woods before the whole town of Baron, North Dakota descends into madness.

Partial Veil is a story about the relationship between humanity and nature, and the eternal ties that bind them together. Both have the capacity to nurture and inspire, while also being capable of tremendous brutality and cruelty. Existence itself depends on the perennial cycle of birth and death; creation and destruction. True understanding of our universe has evaded scientists and philosophers throughout the ages, mostly because they weren’t looking in the right place. The answer is quite obvious, really…

If only they knew what was growing in Partial Veil Forest.

Partial Veil

Meet the Meat… er, the team

  • Allison Cossitt (Josie Ward)(Writer)(Director)(Editor)

Allison Cossitt loves rats. Let's just get that out of the way because that's the most important thing. When she's not busy being really rather silly she's sleeping or pretending to be a jaded, tough cop in North Dakota. Somehow she managed to pull off writing, directing, starring in and editing Partial Veil, not because she's egotistical, but because she was just so damn excited about telling this story and getting this absolutely stellar cast together to make something amazing. Also she's a little out of touch with reality and that helps.

  • Peter Wicks (Halo Rhys)

Peter Wicks is a multi-award-winning British actor working across stage, screen, and audio. Audio fiction credits include Wooden Overcoats, Victoriocity, The Strata, Red Odyssey, Killing Time, Ramon Fear’s Terror Tapes, Crowley Time, Haunted, Night Shift, and Camlann. He has also voiced a variety of characters in indie to AAA video game and interactive titles, with selected credits including World of Tanks: Modern Armor (Wargaming), Marvel Move (Six to Start), Age of Darkness: Final Stand (PlaySide/Team17), and Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon (Questline/Awaken Realms Digital).

He does not write compelling bios. Can you tell? Hear more at: https://linktr.ee/peterwicks

  • Reny Amoros (Anj Narvaez)

Reny Amoros is a Queer, neurodivergent BIPOC (Puerto Rican and Indigenous) voice actor, born and raised in The Bronx, NY. They have a bachelor's degree in Film & Media and a minor in Theater.

Oh and fun fact: Reny has been a professional independent wrestler for the past 10 years! (Oh yeah...we're talkin flying off the ropes and body slammin' peeps, babayyyy!) They've also worn other hats in the wrestling industry, including doing play-by-play wrestling commentary, interviewing, and in-ring announcing. So promo work, acting, improv, and storytelling are their life!

And while animation & video game work is always near and dear to her heart, she has been lending her voice more and more to the audio drama world.

Reny now has the honor and pleasure of playing "Anj" in Partial Veil and cannot wait for everyone to hear this amazing story!

  • Candace McAfee (Diane Ramsey)

  • Sarah Doreen MacPhee (Arlene Whitt)

Sarah Doreen MacPhee is a delightfully odd little creature, who has been described by many as being very Fae-like. They love the art of storytelling, their trusty adventuring partner Cowboy the Dragon, and a good stitch n’bitch from now and then. When not lending their voice to projects such as Old Gods of Appalachia (Rachel Harlow, 2023 Audioverse Award Winner for Best Existing Recurring Voices), Shadowheir (Camir), or Omen (Audio Verse 2021 Award Nominee for Best Performance in a New Production), they love to sit in their rocking chair facing the sun, with Cowboy nestled in their neck, and try not to let the existential dread of the uncertain fates seep too far into their own psyche. Only enough to keep things interesting, though. For now.

You can find out more things Sarah Doreen over at: www.sarahdoreenmacpheevo.com. We’ll be waiting for you. 😈

  • Bjorn Munson (Ray Lester)

Amid all the mythology, Muppets, Monty Python, and classic movies Bjorn Munson absorbed in his archetypically Gen X childhood, he also grew to love vintage radio fiction. In fact, he was bummed it wasn't still a thing, so he's overjoyed it's making a comeback in the podcast era. He's as excited to be a part of Partial Veil as winning a meat raffle (that's more than a pretty good thing: ask your upper Midwest friends). When not voice acting or avoiding Eldritch Horrors in the woods out back, Bjorn leads a troupe of creative misfits at Jabberwocky Audio Theater (jabberaudio.com). He lives in Deepest Springfield with his family.

  • Liam Paul Gregory (Raif Volkov)

Liam Paul Gregory is my name, writing bios is my game. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and apologise in advance for the silliness! Hopefully at least one of us will come off well by the end of it. I write Centromika Kakuri logs: Jupiter and I act (reasonably well I'm told) in that too. I've been releasing repressed emotions (I'm British) in theatre since I was a teen until the pandemic hit and I had a (just teeny) meltdown that I've been slowly digging down from since (only joking things *have* leveled out). I found voice acting from the No Sleep Podcast and Critical Role as well as a desire to 'do audio logs like in bioshock' so that my brain doesn't explode from the lack of creative expression (see previous comment 'I'm british') From there I found antidepressants and well-being, (ruining the writing process of my audio drama 💁🏼‍♂️), and have been getting involved in the creative, welcoming, nurturing, friendly, kind, empathetic, compassionate, and generally kick ass Audio drama/Voice actor space. It has been an honour to be involved in Partial Veil and I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have to Allison for the opportunity and for the support that they have given me. They are a prolific talent and an inspiring energy.

  • Rachael Glasswing (Kelly)(Casting Assistant)

When Rachael Glasswing isn’t screaming in a voice booth, she’s doing it internally?! Okay, slight exaggeration… The Australian voice actor, writer, singer, human being, loves to make people laugh (and sometimes cry) as much as possible thru characters and content creation.

Her creative journey began as a small child, after winning a local Talent Quest. There at 6 years old, Rachael sang a heart wrenching song, dressed as a rabbit that wished to be a kangaroo (cos’ they get a pouch). So, not much has changed. She still likes pockets.

Much of Rachael’s childhood was spent, honing her “look at me” skills in the theatre and studying the performing arts. She continued this into her teen and adult years, as well as becoming a teacher of such, until one day, after ten years or so of teaching children how to “act better” decided she’d rather be in a confined space talking to herself. Then she discovered voice acting!

Likes: Being able to fit into kids shoes (she always gives them back), boba tea and that’s all she can think of right now because she is short and tired.

Dislikes: Small talk (talk big or go home), people standing in the middle of escalators, wet socks and writing bios.

  • Nancy O'Fallon (Grace Karlsen)

Nancy is a full-time, professional voice actor with over six years of experience and hundreds of credits for Steam and AA video games, animation, audio dramas, movies, kids audiobooks, toy voices, commercials and more! She loves what she does and can usually be found in her studio screaming and wailing (I voice a lot of horror and fantasy roles!) 😊

  • Mikee Joaquin (Adam Fuller)

Hailing from the U.S. and coming off the back of a world touring Las Vegas show, Mikee has found a home in Brisbane.

With credits across the globe, Mikee specialises in character work for games, animation, audiobooks, and eLearning. Most recently, he voiced an animated character for Crayola in their “Crayola Creativity Week” animated series on Youtube. Mikee’s dance background also led him to becoming the motion capture actor and voice reference for Dipsy, in the animated Youtube series, “Teletubbies Let’s Go!”

You can also hear him in video games like Hell Architect and Tails Noir Prelude on Steam.

With his bright, genuine, and quirky sound, Mikee can deliver millennial, conversational, and Gen Z reads across commercial genres, and has worked with brands like EB Games Australia/ New Zealand, Zing Pop Culture, and Colgate-Palmolive.

In his spare time, Mikee organises VO workshops and meet ups for the local community, plays with his corgi, Quincy, and loves to eat ice cream, even though he is very lactose intolerant.

  • Jarret Griffis (John Boyd/Josie's Dad)

Jarret Griffis is a voice actor based out of Austin, Texas, but with roots near the Smoky Mountains back in Tennessee. Jarret’s journey into voice acting has been an incredible ride. Since starting in 2020 and working with so many amazing people, he’s had the chance to explore a wide range of characters and genres - and had a blast doing it! Recent accomplishments include playing Bullseye in Marvel Move, Ralph in the video game Life Eater, and several characters in the animated show Battle Ballz.

When he’s not behind the mic, you can find him indulging in his love for video games, getting lost in anime, or throwing around weights at the gym.

As a strong believer in the power of storytelling and the magic of voice acting, Jarret is passionate about bringing characters to life. Every role he portrays is a part of him, and he is excited to be in the Partial Veil cast as Josie’s Dad and John Boyd.

  • Xander Grant (Dr. Carlyle)

  • Rob Harrower (Dale Anderson)

Hey there, fellow Earthlings! I'm Rob Harrower, Canadian voice actor extraordinaire, broadcasting live (not really) from beautiful Barrie, Ontario – where the snow drifts are high (not right now), and the Tim Hortons lines are even higher... longer? (I never go there). You might recognize me as one of the producers at Two Sober Dwarves Productions and Iridescent Acorn Productions. If not, I'm also the one who's been boldly going where no Barrie resident has gone before – the final frontier of Star Trek fandom, since the age of ten. Live long and prosper, eh? Rob (because I speak in 3rd person now) is not "partially" but fully excited to be playing Dale Anderson in Partial Veil!

  • Billie Hindle (Nurse Rose)

Ahoy there! My name is Billie Lauren Hindle and I be a voice actor aboard the USS Partial Veil and, ok I’m gonna stop talking in sailor speak now.

I am a British, trans voice actress best known for The Magnus Protocol! I play Nurse Rose in Partial Veil and cannot wait for y’all to hear it! It’s good, trust me.

  • Meredith Nudo (Lanie)

Meredith Nudo is a voice actor, comedian, journalist, and an ancient cosmic void monster trapped inside an increasingly ill-fitting woman suit. Please vanquish her with tiny kittens and bunnies. Please? Her website is meredithnudova.com

  • Jason Tibor (Walter Ross)

Jason Tibor is an American voice actor, raconteur, and drinker of coffee. His fascination with all things weird, spooky and mysterious began early in life, during his childhood in southwestern North Dakota (known today as “not far from Oil Country”). When he's not being super weird all by himself in a vocal booth in his home studio, he tends to his ranch in rural southern Oregon and spends his free time having personal encounters with bears and lamenting the fact that despite living in the heart of Bigfoot country, he has yet to see or even hear the elusive cryptid.

  • Matt Chalik (Dwayne)

Matt is one with the forces of darkness and radical positivity and little is known about this mysterious individual. He is, however, a signed voice talent with CTC. We do know that much.

  • Alex Lynch (Production Assistant Extraordinaire)

Alex Lynch is an award-winning writer with credits from BBC Three ‘Quickies’, BBC Radio 4 - including his own 4-part series ‘Expenses Only’ which he had commissioned when he was just 23 - and commercials for Picturehouse Cinema.
